CBS is delivering yet another reality competition series. This time, instead of unknown contestants duking it out for supremacy on an island, it’ll be celebrities. TMZ reported on the new show.
A production source told the outlet that the new series is a lot like Survivor. The main difference is that the contestants are all celebrities. This includes reality stars, as well.
The show will contain similar challenges to the long-running series. Those familiar with the rules of Survivor should feel right at home.
Several big names are reportedly attached to the series. Among them are Colton Underwood, Ray Lewis, Metta World Peace, and Paulina Porizkova, and Eboni Williams from “Real Housewives of New York.” Those are the only confirmed names thus far, but more may be coming.
Contestants were playing for the charity of their choice. The show is already filmed and in the can. It was taped in Panama, so it does seem to track with being similar to Survivor.
The new series will drop in April of 2022. Reality fans can expect an announcement or teaser for the show very soon. It remains to be seen if Survivor fans will stick around for the celebrity gimmick.
