Cobra Kai Writer Talks Show’s Future Beyond Season 5

Popular Netflix series “Cobra Kai” has already proven it to be a smashing success among the audiences. It broke Netflix record for most viewership.

The co-creators and showrunners Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg have previously shared their interest in keeping the show alive for at least another few seasons but until now nothing had been officially confirmed. Recently ,Heald sat down for an interview in which he answered the mystery question.

On Tuesday Dec. 7, Heald in an interview with Screen Rant , in which he confirmed that the show will indeed go beyond season 5. He said ,”We have more beyond season 5″, before adding, “We are not writing to the end of the series in season 5 right now.”

He further went on to describe season 5 as an “enormous” season. He believes that the 5th season would have “a lot of new flavors and a lot of things you haven’t seen before… and it’s not the end.”

If “Cobra Kai” continues to deliver new seasons at the same rate we can expect season 5 should be released around late 2022 or early 2023. The latest season of the show premieres on Netflix December 31.
