Kanye and Drake’s beef saga has finally come to an end. The rappers are all set to reunite as performers for The Free Larry Hoover benefit concert. With only 24 hours remaining, the crew is working nonstop to finish up the massive stage.
The pair’s concert is intended to raise awareness for Larry Hoover’s incarceration and garner support for prison and sentencing reform. Hoover, the co-founder of Gangster Disciples, was found guilty of murder, extortion and money laundering among other charges in 1997 and is currently serving six life sentences. Ye has been using his platform working to free Hoover for several years now.
A series of pictures obtained by TMZ show the insides of the L.A. Memorial Coliseum where the Free Larry Hoover event is scheduled to go down. A massive elevated platform in the middle of what is usually a grass field is being constructed. Sources with direct knowledge say a crew of more than 200 workers has been going nonstop to get the stage finished. The estimated budget is $10+ million for the stage construction/production, space rental, security, event staffers and more.
Security has been top priority for show organizers given what happened at Astroworld cocert. There is no general admission and all seats are reserved .There will be plenty of other reinforcements in place to ensure everybody’s safety.
It will be an “environmental experience,” the largest ever created and feature incredible projections throughout. Construction Crews have been working nonstop to build up the foundation.
The live stream of the Free Larry Hoover benefit concert will also be available to view on the Amazon Music app and IMAX . The concert will be available to view on-demand through Prime Video following the live event.
