Don Lemon Blasted Online For Hiding His Role In Jussie Smollett Case

CNN host Don Lemon is getting blasted for covering his pal Jussie Smollett’s trial. Lemon allegedly provided insider information to Smollett on his late-night show.

The Jussie Smollett’s trial is presently underway. Meeting all expectations, there have been plenty of twists during witness testimonies. Smollett mentioned in his testimony that Don has tipped him off after filing his police report.

The CNN anchor did not mention his own central role in tipping off the “Empire” star that he was being investigated by police. The late-night program stirred up a discourse on social media this morning. 

Smollett revealed how Lemon told him about Chicago PD of not being convinced of his story. Lemon and Omar Jimenez discussed the trial at length during a 5-minute segment on CNN. Surprisingly, there was no mention of Lemon’s involvement in that segment.

Lemon’s straight-faced coverage without mentioning his own involvement triggered outrage online. Some labelled him as a “crook”. People suggested that it was high time for CNN to “bid him goodbye.”
