The Wendy Williams Show is going to return with new episodes in January, 2022. However, Williams won’t return as she continues to recover from complications of Graves disease.
The show is currently running its 13th season. On Wednesday. the show announced guest hosts for the month of January. Fat Joe and Remy Ma will host the week of January 3. They will be followed by Michael Rapaport in week 2. In week 3, comedic duo Kym Whitley and Finesse Mitchell will be hosts. Finally, Sherri Shepherd will close out the month from January 24-28.
Executive Producer, David Peter showed excitement in producing new shows in 2022. He announced the guest hosts on Wednesday. He further added that,
“We’re looking forward to producing new and exciting shows in 2022 and we can’t wait to return in the new year with all of our guest hosts. Each of the outstanding guest hosts brings a unique and distinctive style to the successful ‘Wendy’ format with their individual personalities while also making sure that Wendy’s show remains consistent for the loyal Wendy watchers.”
Previously, The Wendy Williams Show looped in additional guests hosts to the calendar through most of the month of November. They were a substitute to Williams who was still recovering from health issues.
The talk show had Michael Rapaport as guest host the week of November 8. Then Bill Bellamy took the reigns on November 16-17. Jerry Springer and Steve Wilkos reunited to co-host on November 18-19.
