Jennifer Aniston is one of the biggest celebrities ever. While most of her celebrity status came from being America’s sweetheart through her 90’s sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S, the actress never apparently went through a manic depressive phase in the public eye.
Aniston took to revealing how she remained free from the issues that plagued other celebrities such as Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and many more. Despite being constantly in the public eye for her 10-season long appearance on the show and 15 years later, Aniston revealed to The Hollywood Reporter how she remained free from insanity’s jaws.
A godsend of support — just so many evolved, positive people around me.
The F.R.I.E.N.D.S actress also added that she grew up watching her own mother Nancy being silent while going through victimhood. She took a lesson from that, and never let herself get in a situation like that.
I also grew up watching someone [Nancy] sit comfortably in victimhood, and I didn’t like how it looked. I knew that this person was giving me an example of what I’d never want to be, and I will never ever be that. I think it’s toxic, and it erodes your insides and your soul.
Aniston then explained that she had a choice between hiding under a shell or finding a way to deal with any of the toxicity she went through. Luckily, she explained that she chose the latter.
And listen, is it a sliver of an annoyance to have to publicly go through dark shit in front of the world? Yes, it’s an inconvenience, but it’s all relative. So, I had a choice to make: Either I’m going to surrender into bonbons and living under my covers or I’m going to go out there and find a creative outlet and thrive, and that’s what I did.
Jennifer Aniston has never faded out of public relevance at all. Her own celebrity relationships have definitely helped that. While Aniston was previously with Brad Pitt & then Justin Theroux, Aniston has later explained that she now wants to date someone from outside of the entertainment industry.
