Chrissy Teigen reveals that her husband John Legend cheekily avoided getting inked by daughter Luna. It seems like the “All of Me” singer wasn’t ready to get tattooed yet.
Teigen sat for an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on Tuesday. In the interview, she said that her husband chickened out of getting a tattoo drawn by their 5-year-old daughter. Both of them agreed to go ahead but John eventually bailed on Luna. Teigen told Ellen:
“Luna was drawing on us one night, and she was like, ‘I love this. This is the best butterfly I’ve ever drawn,’ and I was like, ‘I agree.’ And then she drew a beautiful floral bouquet on John’s arm, and he was like, ‘I’ll tattoo mine, if you tattoo yours,’ and I was like, ‘Well, I don’t wanna say it, but yours looks a lot better than mine,’ But we support the arts in our household, so…”
The 36-year-old mom eventually got the butterfly permanently inked on her arm. Legend, 42, has yet to hold up his end of the deal since the home art session night. John casually said that he will take a picture of it and then he will go get it done.
Teigen revealed her toddler-doodled ink back in June with a lengthy Instagram post. The emotional post detailed Luna’s preschool graduation ceremony and the commencement speech delivered by Legend.
Teigen describes the tattoo to be a little imperfect, a little messy, but it shall stay there forever. We shall keep you updated if John ends up inking Luna’s floral doodle.
