Pastor Calls Out Kanye West’s Donda For Feeling Like Demonic Music

Kanye West has incorporated more and more gospel influences into his music over the years. As the becomes more enveloped by his faith, his tunes have taken on a more spiritual tone. Ye has crossed over enough that Billboard named him Top Gospel Artist of 2021 and Top Christian artist of 2021 last week.

Pastor Mike Jr. is another gospel rapper that performs in a similar space to Kanye. He’s also a multiple-time award winner in the genre. He doesn’t think Kanye belongs, according to HipHopDX.

After The Shade Room shared the news about Kanye’s award on Instagram, Pastor Mike jumped into the discussion almost immediately. He gave his thoughts on Kanye winning a gospel award. He doesn’t think it’s right.

Kanye West probably doesn’t believe his music is demonic. He’s returned to his regular Sunday worship services. It’s one thing to criticize Kanye as an artist, but questioning another person’s most personally held beliefs is a slippery slope.
