The fashion company, Fashion Nova hired Rich The Kid as one it’s many celebrity brand ambassadors. He failed to honor the contract with the company, which resulted in him being sued by Fashion Nova.
Their on-going court battle finally reached a conclusion. The rapper was ordered to pay Fashion Nova over $130K for breach of contract by the court. A “default judgement” was issued against him. In most cases, a default is entered when one party fails to respond to a lawsuit.
The fashion company entered into contract with the rapper in 2018. The company claims they paid Rich The Kid a $100K advance upon signing the said contract. It included planned promoted posts and mentions. The Blast, reported they even worked out a deal where Rich would mention them on one of his songs.
The Rapper fired back on Instagram after the lawsuit being filed by posting ,”S*** is crazy mothaf*****s tryna sue a n**** left and right”. He later added, “It’s time for us to promote ownership, not that slave s***.”
This isn’t the first time Rich found himself in a situation like this. Previously , he was sued by his former managers for $3.5 million following breach of contract. That too resulted in a default judgement being entered against him for $1.1 million.
