Loki is perhaps one of the most charming on-screen villains of all time. Having first appeared in Thor (2011), the actor established his witty yet sinister character in the MCU. Loki then became the central villain in The Avengers, until The Avengers Infinity War, when his character underwent a painful end.
Avengers: Endgame, instead of reviving the character, brought another version of him onto the spotlight. When he takes the Tesseract while he’s being taken into custody right after the events of the Avengers, Loki triggers the events of his Disney+ series.
Tom Hiddleston has been awarded The Male TV Star of 2021 at the People’s Choice Awards. Before his acceptance speech, Hiddleston was greeted with the chants of “Loki! Loki! Loki!” which he said that he did not expect.
Hiddleston said that he’s been playing the character since the last 11 or 12 years. He said that the audiences love his character for many different reasons, but it’s a lot longer than him, and he’s simply a temporary torch bearer.
Loki’s Disney+ series was expected to last only one season. However, the character’s performance and story are not even close to complete, so the show is gearing for the release of its next season.
