Eminem, Bleacher Report, and Mithcell & Ness recently collaborated on some awesome new gear for fans of the Detroit Pistons. Part of the NBA Remix collection, Shady joined DJ Khaled, Big Sean, Future, and others for artist-inspired NBA merchandise. The late Juice WRLD and Slim Shady himself have already sold their contributions completely out.
Em’s Pistons merch came with a jersey, t-shirt- hoodie, and baseball hat. The gear was sylized with a backward “E” and Eminem’s signature hockey mask. Everything sold out within minutes. Shady promoted the collection on his Instagram.
“‘I had hoop dreams, now I shoot threes’ SlimShady X @detroitpistons x @bleacherreport x @mitchellandness collab out now- link in bio”
There are still some cool items available if you have an NBA fan who also loves rap on your holiday shopping list. Kid Cudi contributed Cleveland Cavaliers-themed gear. Young Money hooked fans up with some fresh Utah Jazz swag. While the Outkast x Atlanta Hawks t-shirt is gone, fans can still score a coach’s jacket, hoodie, and jersey.
The NBA Remix collection has become a tradition for fans. Each year, rappers collab with their hometown teams to create awesome new wearables. It’s the perfect way to represent your city.
For fans who missed the limited-run gear, there’s always next year. Who knows what Detroit rappers might turn up in subsequent collections? Maybe the Insane Clown Posse will get involved in 2022. We can only dream.
