The Brooklyn Nets were on an upward trajectory when Kevin Durant logged 40 minutes in court as the team was progressively heading towards victory. After a fantastic comeback against the Dallas Maverick, Durant even joked that he might stay in the court for a lot longer.
Durant’s comment had the fans hyped for their match against Houston Rockets. However, instead of even spending half of the promised time in the court, Durant sat out and took a breather. Despite everyone’s best efforts, the match ended up going to the Rockets.
The Nets are still very much at the top in the Eastern conference rankings with 17-8. However, they fell short of victory against the Rockets with the final score of 114-104. James Harden recently voiced out his frustration, saying that many of its star players being missing isn’t right for the team.
The Bleacher Report revealed that Harden told reporters present at the game that it’s frustrating. He admitted to feeling shorthanded, and said that they’re constantly making up for it. (mnspas.com)
It’s frustrating when you’re shorthanded so many guys and you’re trying to make up for it in so many games, especially on a back-to-back and playing 42 minutes [Tuesday in Dallas].
Kyrie Irving has been famously out of the games as he is refusing to get vaccinated. Nic Claxton has been off the team as he has been dealing with an illness, and Joe Harris is taking time off to deal with his ankle injury. It sure is a tough time for the Nets.
