Torrence Ivy Hatch Jr. was born in November 14, 1982. Better known by his stage name Boosie BadAzz or simply Boosie (formerly Lil Boosie), he is an American rapper. He might not need that introduction, because the man claims to be a modern-day TuPac Shakur.
Boosie began rapping in the 1990s as a member of the hip hop collective Concentration Camp. He’s been on the grind for a minute, and he’s also one to put himself over.
Eventually pursuing a solo career in 2000 with the release of his debut album Youngest of da Camp. Boosie is one of the most prominent figures of Southern hip hop. He has gone on to release seven solo studio albums, as well as six collaborative albums and 42 mixtapes, right up there with Pac in his opinion.
In an interview with VladTV, Boosie reacted to Fat Joe saying that DaBaby is like the 2Pac of today. Vlad commented that he thinks either 50 Cent or NBA YoungBoy would be good choices. Boosie then maintained that he believes that he’s the closest rapper to 2Pac. And he added that no other rappers compare.
Vlad said “you called yourself bupoc before so obviously you may feel that you are the closest thing to Tupac”. Then he asked, “but everyone has their own opinion, so excluding yourself who do you think is the closest person to Tupac these days”. Vlad also gave him few choices to pick from like The baby, NBA YoungBoy and 50 Cent.”
Boosie commented that “everybody won’t be great like Tupac, to be compared to them you gotta have all the qualities of Tupac. I don’t like them comparing to Tupac as a Tupac fan, so that’s where the question is gonna lose me at.”
“I probably would pick none of them,” Boosie said definitively. We will have to see how the fans react. You can check out the clip of Boosie’s interview below.
