Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier faced off against each other in their third fight together in the main event of UFC 264. It was a highly anticipated fight, to say the least. It seems Poirier doesn’t thinks his feud with McGregor will ever end.
The main event truly had a big fight feel as many fans were excited to see which competitor would end up victorious. In a shocking turn of events, Conor McGregor fractured his ankle at the end of the first round, leading to Dustin Poirier winning the fight via TKO.
After the fight, Dustin Poirier accused Conor McGregor of cheating during their bout. McGregor was alleged to have illegally grabbed his gloves and pulled Dustin Poirier into upkicks. McGregor even admitted to using illegal moves.
While speaking with Michael Bisping, Dustin Poirier talked about his feud with Conor McGregor. Poirier admitted that he doesn’t think his feud with McGregor will ever end.
“I don’t have a relationship [with McGregor]. We can fight five more times. I don’t think it is ever going to be settled, you know. It’s just one of those rivalries that’s going to be forever, I think.”
McGregor is expected to be out of action for a year as he is set on returning as soon as possible. We will have to wait and see whether Conor McGregor will respond to the charges meted out against him.
