Josh Duggar was recently found guilty by a jury in his trial for crimes related to possession of child pornography. He’s not the only one in his family to have been accused of crimes against kids. His sister, Jana, recently joined the growing list of Duggars who should never be allowed near children.
TMZ has reported that Jana Duggar has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. The news was confirmed by the outlet with a court clerk. The circumstances are unknown, but the citation came on September 9, 2021.
Jana is due back in court in January of 2022. While her charges are not sexual in nature, it’s ironic that the family who starred in “19 Kids and Counting” is having so much trouble not harming children. The show was cancelled when child molestation allegations of Josh Duggar surfaced from his teenage years.
Josh was convicted on one count of receiving child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography. He faces up to twenty years in prison and fines of up to a quarter of a million dollars. While Jana’s charges don’t seem as serious, the news remains shocking.
Jana’s brother has admitted to a pornography addiction in the past. He was accused of molesting four girls as a teenager. “19 Kids and Counting” was cancelled in 2015 due to the controversy. Amy Duggar hopes he receives the maximum sentence allowable under the law.
Jana is the oldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. The parents have not commented on Jana’s citation. The silence, as usual, is deafening.
