Netflix’s Daredevil series has been regarded as one of the best superhero shows of all time. Many fans believed it showed the most organic and authentic portrayal of Daredevil yet as Charlie Cox put on the performance of his career. It seems Daredevil fans finally got some great news.
Just like all good things eventually come to an end, the same happened for Daredevil. The show ended after its third season on Netflix as the streaming platform stopped producing Marvel shows in general.
Since then fans wondered if fans would get to see Daredevil/Matt Murdock make his return. The rumors started spreading that Murdock could appear in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home film this year.
As reported earlier, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will bring back Charlie Cox as Daredevil if the franchise decides to include the character.
While speaking to Inverse, Tom Holland was asked about a possible crossover with Daredevil and Spider-Man now that Cox will portray Daredevil in the future. Holland was certainly excited about this.
“I loved Daredevil. I really, really enjoyed it. I thought Charlie Cox was excellent. I thought [Kingpin actor] Vincent D’Onofrio did a fantastic job as Wilson Fisk. It was really cool to see a darker side to a Marvel character. That fight scene in the hallway was spectacular. I know some of the stunt guys that built that sequence. I thought it was a great show.”
Charlie Cox previously made it clear he has no involvement with Daredevil anymore, but he could also just be playing coy. Regardless, we will have to wait and see if Daredevil will somehow make his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe or not.
