Before he made a name for himself as a boxer, Logan Paul did a lot of disturbing things as a YouTuber. He also became one of the most infamous personalities in recent memory. His brother, Jake Paul, might be called the “Problem Child,” but The Maverick has also stirred up his fair share of trouble.
On the other hand, Jake Paul has always been part of huge boxing matches and the hype he builds for each of his matches is almost astonishing. The YouTuber turned boxer also possesses a face that many people would like to punch, including his own friends. Jake Paul also loves trash-talking his opponents before his matches and it has been quite effective on each occasion.
Love him or hate him, there is certainly no denying the fact that Jake Paul is one of the biggest names in professional boxing right now. Jake Paul would also agree with this assessment.
While speaking on the Impaulsive podcast, Logan and Jake Paul talked about how they benefit from each other’s success. It all comes down to having time to focus on other projects while one of the brothers continues to be successful.
“It’s a cheat code. It’s an amplification dude. Especially in an era of social media where relevancy is so significant, like you’re chasing being relevant or being able to move product or get views or whatever it is, I now have the privilege of being able to sit back and focus on my work in this project in particular because you’re [Jake Paul] making so much noise.
I’m definitely carrying the weight of the Paul family for sure. This is sort of my year, it is what it is… I’m just going back to back with these super big promotions and billboards and sh*t all over cities and commercials on TV, the answer is yes [I have been more successful this year]… The beautiful thing about this thing is that no matter what each one of us does, it benefits the other. He’s benefitting off of my press and I’m benefitting off of his press and his accomplishments, and before we were in competition but now we look at it like ‘oh, that’s a win for him, that’s a win for me,’ which is beautiful. It’s very healthy.”
Jake Paul recently stated that he carries the weight of his family. It remains to be seen who will come out on top in the unexpected rematch between Paul and Tyron Woodley on December 18th.
