Tom Holland also previously stated that Spider-Man: No Way Home will be the end of the Homecoming trilogy. He then made it clear that a fourth film featuring the webhead isn’t impossible. Holland further added that Marvel would build something different with a possible fourth film.
It was also previously reported that Spider-Man: No Way Home will mark the beginning of the shared universe with Sony and Marvel. Holland even admitted that he didn’t think the script would work at first.
As reported earlier, franchise producer Amy Pascal recently revealed that after the end of the original trilogy, Tom Holland will be starring in yet another trilogy that, much to the delight of fans. Holland was excited at this news as well.
While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Holland detailed the struggles of wearing the Spider-Man suit. Holland revealed that if he threw up while wearing the suit, it could be legitimately dangerous.
“It’s quite a legitimate fear. When I’m in the suit and I’m in the full thing, if you were to throw up in the suit, you would effectively drown. In [Spider-Man: Homecoming], there’s a scene where Spider-Man gets trapped under the rubble and I have to battle my inner demons to lift up this heavy piece of concrete. And on the day, when I was trapped under this fake rock, I had the mask on and they had this kind of water drop that was dropping onto the back of my head. And the more and more water that dropped onto my head, the more and more water that pooled up in the front of the mask. So, I was kind of waterboarding myself, and I guess it’s a similar sort of thing to what Zendaya is worrying about.”
Holland also recently stated that the film will be very dark and sad and not fun at all. With Spider-Man: No Way Home promising to be one of the most ambitious films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is likely they will be bringing in many characters from the previous Spider-Man films. We will have to see how the film will become the bridge between the MCU and Sony’s universes.
