Thor: Love and Thunder leaked and fans have all sorts of theories. This was a promotional poster for sale in retail stores and not the actual movie poster, but it was confirmed to be real. Social media was recently abuzz with the revelation of a leaked poster showing interesting updates. Now, it looks like new information is verifying its authenticity.
Following her absence in Ragnarok, Love and Thunder will also see the return of Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster to the franchise, alongside Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie. The poster featured Portman, Hemsworth, and Taika Waititi’s Korg all wearing updated costumes.
Previously, director Taika Waititi remarked on Twitter that “This is so bad that I kinda wish it was an official poster. It’s definitely what I would have done if I was in charge of posters”. We were not sure what to make of this other than deduce that the poster wasn’t “official”.
Despite Waititi’s claims to the contrary, it seems the poster is an officially licensed Marvel Studios product for the upcoming film. In a tweet by The Direct, the outlet claims it spoke to Pyramid International, the company reportedly responsible for the poster and they said it was legit.
The manufacturer asserted that the poster was, in fact, an officially licensed look at Thor: Love and Thunder. However, the poster was mistakenly distributed to a retailer too early and will be available for purchase in 2022. If that’s the case, it could mean that the poster will make its proper debut soon.
