Letitia Wright is not leaving Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Rumors swirled after Wright was injured on the set that she might not return. The speculation began late last week.
The Hollywood Reporter recently addressed the gossip. They say that Black Panther 2 is set to resume production in late January as scheduled. Letitia Wright will be a part of that production.
Wright stirred up controversy when it was alleged that she was espousing anti-vaccination views on the set. That, combined with the injury, led many fans to believe that she was done. All the rumors appear to be untrue.
Wright entered the hospital for her injuries in August. The crew worked around it by filming scenes that didn’t require her. The production of the movie was paused in November due to Letitia being unavailable because of the injury.
In November, a representative for Wright said that Letitia had been recovering in London since September. She was looking forward to returning to the set in 2022. Now, it appears as though they were right all along.
Letitia Wright plays Shury, the sister of T’Challa (portrayed by the late Chadwick Boseman), in the films. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled to hit theaters on November 11, 2022. Shury will be a part of it, despite fan speculation to the contrary.
