Boosie Badazz is one of rap’s most colorful characters. He recently announced he’s going back to school. He’s always involved in a feud, like his recent beef with Lil Nas X. Now, he’s become an ordained minister. Boosie posted to his Instagram story on Monday that he’s been ordained as a minister by the Universal Life Church. However, His services won’t come cheap.
Boosie says he’s available for bookings but it’ll cost between $75 and $100,000 to have him officiate the ceremony. He seems excited at the prospect of bringing couples together, according to HipHopDX.
“If you want Boosie to marry you, let me know. If you want Boosie to marry you, I got my muthaf*ckin’ license. If you want Boosie to marry you, y’all holla at me. This my new thing. If you want me to marry you, holla at me. Big boss sh*t. I’m marrying couples now. $75 to $100K. I’m marrying couples now. It’s official. I’m certified.”
Boosie joins Cardi B, who officiated a wedding in October along with Raven Symoné. Kurtis Blow has been certified since 2009, when he founded the Hop Hop Ministry. Killer Mike oversaw the vows for his RTJ DJ, Trackstar.
Cardi B took part in the wedding as a part of her Facebook series, Cardi Tries. It sounds like Boosie is going to take things a little more seriously. At least, he will for those who can afford it.
The Universal Life Church is a nondenominational organization that allows anybody to become an ordained minister. It’s free to sign up online. The ministry then makes money from fancy, official documents and certificates those who have completed the “ordination process” can display.
