Flavor Flav is fortunate to be alive. The Public Enemy hype man was nearly killed recently when a huge boulder fell on his car. Flav was on a trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles during a rainstorm when the incident occurred.

Photos from the scene show the severe damage to Flavor Flav’s car. His representatives say if the rock fell just a few feet in the other direction, he would’ve been killed. Fortunately, he avoided serious injury.
The rapper and reality star told the outlet that he’s grateful to be alive after the accident. While he’s physically fine, he is sorting through the emotions of a traumatic experience. A witness who stopped to check on Flav also expressed their shock at the situation.
The vehicle was totalled, but Flavor Flav walked away physically unharmed. He thanked God for his good fortune. It was too close for comfort.
Flavor Flav is a founding member of Public Enemy. Along with Chuck D., the group became hugely influential in rap music. He generally played a comic foil to the more serious Chuck. He translated that big personality to a career in reality television. He was even roasted by Comedy Central in 2007. He recently had a charge of domestic battery dropped by a judge.
