LeBron James and Steph Curry’s rivalry is one for the history books. While both James and Curry are incredible players in their own right, it is hard to deny the overwhelming influence that James has over the world of basketball.

James has pretty much been an NBA legend for close to two decades now, although some might disagree with that take. Foremost among them is Stephen A. Smith, who argued in Curry’s favor on “First Take.”

Smith believes that Curry is now surpassing James to become the new face of this generation, and he made his thoughts on the subject very clear.

We’re not recognizing how [Steph Curry’s] transformed the game of basketball… We talk about LeBron or Jordan, what about Jordan-Curry?!

Smith faced some resistance from JJ Redick, who claimed that LeBron is still very much at the top. Redick argued that James is ahead of Curry in every statistical measure.

Ultimately, whether one prefers James or Curry comes down to personal preference. However, it is undeniable that no other rivalry could spark this much debate. Check out the following clip.
