Jeff Garlin is a household name in Hollywood thanks to his role as Jeff Greene on Curb Your Enthusiasm and also ABC’s comedy The Goldbergs. Unfortunately, it seems he has made headlines for all the wrong reasons.
According to a report by Deadline, Jeff Garlin The Goldbergs but it seems he was going to get fired regardless. This is due to a human resources probe into allegations he had been “emotionally abusive” and intimidating to staffers.
Garlin had just one day worth of shooting left for the current season but will not get any time to finish it up. It was said that a mutual agreement was reached for Garlin’s departure.
In a Vanity Fair interview, Garlin addressed some of the accusations and confirmed he had been involved in HR probes. One of the allegations were against him using the word “vagina,” which he dismissed as being a comedian.
It was said that Garlin allegedly retaliated by repeatedly saying the word to the camera assistant who filed a complaint about him saying it the first time. It was also alleged that he abused his power to intimidate, embarrass and belittle a couple that worked together on the show, which crossed the line. Regardless, fans won’t see Garlin back on the show ever again.
