It is no secret that rapper Ja Rule is also a bit of a tech enthusiast. The rapper recently launched his own tech company. Now it seems that Ja Rule is set to introduce his kids to NFTs.
In an interview with Page Six, the rapper revealed that he plans on gifting NFTs to his kids for Christmas. Ja Rule believes that NFTs make more sense as gifts than regular presents do.
The kids are big now… I like to give them stuff that [is] more meaningful now in the financial world, and in the investment world… so I probably will give them some cool NFTs this Christmas and get them into the art world.
Ja Rule has three kids, who are in their teens and twenties. He explained his reasoning for getting them NFTs, claiming that “it is an investment, stuff that they can have to watch and grow with them as they are getting older because it’s gonna be a great investment.”
Rule also shared that growing up, he did not get to celebrate Christmas until he turned twelve, since he was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness. Rule also stated that his twelfth birthday was the first birthday he got to celebrate.
The rapper continued that since he got to celebrate Christmas for the first time that late, he took it on as one of his favorite holidays. Since he sees Christmas as being more about the spirit of giving, he likes giving his family what they want.
It is not yet clear whether Rule’s kids actually told him that they want NFTs for Christmas or not, but it certainly seems like his heart is in the right place.
