Leonardo DiCaprio is known for his various notable acting roles, but little did we know he’s more than just a star on screen. While chatting with his Don’t Look Up cast members during an episode of Around the Table for Entertainment Weekly, DiCaprio told a story about how he saved his two Siberian Huskies when they fell into a frozen lake.

The filming for Don’t Look Up took place in Boston. While there, DiCaprio had his rescue dogs along with him. They apparently caused many hijinks while shooting, particularly in this one instance.

“Basically, they both fell on a frozen lake,” DiCaprio said. Then co-star Jennifer Lawrence described the whole matter as what happened.

“One of the dogs fell in, he jumped into the frozen lake to save the dog and as soon as he pushed the one dog out of the pond, the other one jumped in.”

The Titanic star interjected to explain, “One of the dogs started licking the one that was drowning, and then we all were in the frozen lake together. Everyone on the set was wondering what was actually happening.”

The other crew members and directors were laughing and making fun of how chaotic his dogs were. Jonah Hill stated that DiCaprio sent him pictures of his torn sofa and other furniture at his house, all messed up by his dogs. They are adorable, but they also run the house.

It sounds like there was no shortage of entertainment while filming Don’t Look Up. We’re just glad that superhero Leo was able to save the dogs. Just another day of Leo proving that he is just a great person in general with an impeccable judgement.
