SZA Lands Acting Gig

SZA is popular as a neo soul singer with elements of soul, hip hop, minimalist R&B, indie rock, cloud rap, witch house in her music. The American singer and songwriter will now make her entry into the acting universe.

SZA is set to make her big screen debut after she recently landed an acting role. She was also not active in the music world for quite some time. Her last album, Ctrl was dropped over four years ago, in the summer of 2017.

Her singles however, garners just as much attention as any other artist’s full-length project. Her collaboration with Doja Cat in “Kiss Me More” ranked No. 3 in the Billboard Hot 100. Released this month, “I Hate U” ranked No.7 in the same.

SZA posted an Instagram story, announcing she landed a role for an upcoming acting gig. She did not specify which part she got, but it was the one she wanted.

“Can’t believe I got the part I wanted. She’s an actress.”

Her post included a cake from her friends to congratulate her which reads: “Congrats record breaker and fire actress.” When addressing the story, SZA clarified she was gifted the cake, and appreciates everyone congratulating her.
