Khabib Nurmagomedov will forever be considered as one of the best UFC fighters to have competed in the MMA world. He ended his MMA career for good back in March and since then has been enjoying his life in retirement. Khabib also admitted he could never be on Mike Tyson’s level. It seems he also explained why he’ll never come back to MMA.
There was a lot of speculation regarding him returning to the UFC as he was still undefeated, with many believing he would come back to make his record an impressive 30-0. However, Dana White had confirmed back in March that the Russian fighter has retired for good.
There are many who still consider Khabib the greatest of all time, but there are also other MMA fighters who do not necessarily agree with that notion. Colby Covington also said Khabib is overrated recently.
Khabib recently revealed that his Eagle FC is scheduled to make its U.S. debut early next year in Miami, Florida. In light of this, Oscar De La Hoya gave his full support to Khabib.
“@TeamKhabib I’ve been a promoter in boxing for 20 years and promoted all the best including Mayweather Pacquiao Canelo. It’s not complicated you go and do your thing, MMA fighters deserve to get payed fairly. I’m in your corner.”
Oscar De La Hoya recovered from COVID-19 and made it clear that he was raring to get back to the ring. La Hoya even made a $100 million offer to Floyd Mayweather for a boxing match. Floyd Mayweather was said to be up for the boxing match as well. We will have to wait and see if the match will ever happen or not.
