There is no doubt that Conor McGregor remains one of the most talked-about and highly controversial fighters in the history of the MMA world. He has competed against the best of the best the sport has to offer. It seems Dana White believes a trilogy fight could happen.
This includes his highly lauded fights against Nate Diaz, as the two faced off against each other on two occasions at UFC 196 and UFC 202. They both have one victory over the other.
For a long time, many fans have been wondering whether the two will face off in a third fight and complete their trilogy together. Even Conor McGregor himself said a third fight must happen.
While speaking with ESPN MMA’s Brett Okamoto, Dana White was asked about what is next in store for Nate Diaz and was asked about his thoughts on the trilogy fight between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz.
“Always there. Yeah, that fight could happen. You could make that fight. There are a lot of fights you could make for Nate Diaz, but Nate Diaz has to want that fight.”
Nate Diaz also recently stated that Conor McGregor has to prove that he can still fight. We will have to wait and see when Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz will duke it out in their third fight together in the future as the rivalry between the two is unlikely to end anytime soon.
