Michael Keaton To Reprise Batman Role In Batgirl Movie

Michael Keaton is recognized for playing Bruce Wayne, Batman in the DC Comics films Batman and Batman Returns. Michael Keaton first rose to prominence thanks to his role as Bill Blazejowski, a fast-talking ideas guy. Now in ‘Batgirl,’ Michael Keaton will reprise his Batman role.

According to Deadline, Michael Keaton has agreed to reprise his role as Batman. He will reprise it in the upcoming superhero film Batgirl. Along with Leslie Grace, J.K. Simmons, and Brendan Fraser, he’ll star in Warner Bros. and DC’s next film.

When approached by Deadline, Warner Bros declined to comment on the hiring. Although the news follows the announcement that Keaton would reprise his role as the Flash in Ezra Miller’s The Flash. It will release on November 4, 2022.

The plot of Batgirl is unknown. However it revolves around Barbara Gordon (Grace), the daughter of Gotham City police commissioner Jim Gordon. The film is directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life) and script are based on Christina Hodson.

In Tim Burton’s 1989 picture Batman, Keaton played millionaire Bruce Wayne and his Caped Crusader alter persona, the Caped Crusader, before revisiting the character in Burton’s 1992 sequel Batman Returns. The Oscar nominee is now starring in Danny Strong’s Hulu drama Dopesick on the opiate issue, and will soon be seen in Columbia Pictures’ Marvel film Morbius, which also stars Jared Leto.
