Jay-Z became a trending topic on Twitter after claiming that no one could beat him in a Verzuz duel. While discussing with Alicia Keys on Twitter Spaces, the Hip Hop mogul made the daring assertion. Jay-longtime Z’s buddy, producer, and engineer, Young Guru, however, seems unconcerned with the purely subjective dispute.
The assertion naturally generated a dispute in the process. Lil Wayne was said to be able to take him, while Lil Jon was certain that Busta Rhymes would “smoke” Hov on the Verzuz stage.
Others, understandably, backed Jay-Z’s comments and saw nothing wrong with his stance. Young Guru took to Twitter shortly after Jay-Z’s name began to trend and delivered a stern warning.
“Please stop calling my phone to give me your take. He said what he said!!!”
Future has been previously been mentioned as a possible Verzuz opponent for Jay-Z. He responded to Hov’s statements via Duct Tape Entertainment CEO Big Bank Black. “I Promise You, ErrBody From Atlanta Feels Like Pluto Can Win A Versus Against Hov!” Future then re-posted Big Bank’s statement to his Instagram Stories.
Since Swizz Beatz and Timbaland founded the Verzuz platform in 2020. Hip hop fans have been waiting for Jay-Z to enter the ring ever since. Bone Thugs-n-Harmony took against Three 6 Mafia in the most recent Verzuz battle, which took place on December 2 in Los Angeles.
