JoJo Gets Engaged On Christmas Eve To Actor Dexter Darden

The holidays can sometimes come with big personal announcements and now JoJo is getting hitched. This big announcement dropped just in time for Christmas.

JoJo is now engaged to Saved by the Bell actor Dexter Darden. The RnB singer took to Instagram to share the news with her fans. The epic surprise proposal was done during singer’s birthday celebrations.

Dexter Darden is best known for playing the role of Walter Hill in Joyful Noise and Frypan in the Maze Runner film series. In 2020, he joined Peacock’s Saved by the Bell reboot as Devante. Meanwhile, JoJo has been steady in the growth of her successful music career with a little bit of acting.

On Christmas, the What U Need singer announced that her now-fiancé, Dexter Darden, asked for her hand in marriage. “Forever with YOU? Sign me UP. Celebrating Christmas a whole fiancé!!!” JoJo wrote alongside photographs and video from the proposal on Instagram. She appreciated her Fiancé even more by praising him abundantly. “The most thoughtful, creative, positive, handsome, strong, loving, uplifting human being asked me to marry him. So obviously I said YESSS!!!… You are one of one.” JoJo said.

It seems that JoJo has had one too many celebrations. “Thank you for the most epic birthday surprise ever. And for flying out my mom, your mom, and both of our best friends to share in that incredible moment with us,” she added. Earlier this month, Darden also honored his soon-to-be wife on her birthday with a sweet Instagram tribute.

Dexter cheered the most when Jojo dropped her recently released EP, Trying Not to Think About It, in October. He called her the Bravest Artist on the planet. We congratulate JoJo as she steps into this new chapter of her life.
