Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world as he is still regarded as one of the all-time greats. He is also a dominant force in Hollywood and brings huge star power to any film he acts in. The Rock is also a businessman and a very conniving one at that. He also loves keeping himself in the best physical shape possible.
The new XFL will be launching in 2023, with The Rock. his ex-wife and business partner, Dany Garcia, and RedBird Capital Partners, being at the helm of the project. They purchased it from Vince McMahon after two failed attempts at launching it.
Ahead of its launch in 2023, The Rock took to Instagram and shared huge details about the NXT. This includes when they will announce their broadcast partners among other things.
“We are a little over one year away from watching our XFL. That is our professional football brand with our chairwoman, Danny Garcia, and our other partner, Gerry Cardinale from RedBird Capital.
And within the next month or maybe two months, we’re going to be announcing our broadcast partners, which we’re very excited about and new teams, new cities and very excited about that… as a former player myself, what an opportunity it is to create an opportunity for other players to live out their dream and take care of their families.”
The Rock also recently teased his biggest venture yet, which will start in 2022. We will have to wait and see how 2022 will pan out for The Great One.
