For years, rappers and singers like Ne-Yo would pay tribute to Morpheus’s “The One,” a computer programmer and hacker. With the advent of VR, Meta Worlds, and constant escapism like hyper-realistic video games, it felt like living in a real-life “rule of the Machines.” While speaking to AllHipHop, the two Matrix stars discussed how much convincing it took to return to the land of leather.
AllHipHop: So good to see you. Now, of course, Matrix is such an iconic film, but how much convincing did it take for you guys to rejoin, and what made you both say yes?
Carrie-Anne Moss: Zero. Convincing zero, zero convincing. After the shock wore off at the thought that we’re doing this again, it was just nothing but a yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.Keanu Reeves: Same for me. It was just, yes, there was a yes, and then, what are we doing?
The Matrix’s fourth movie hit theaters with a bang and now fans are excited to see what’s next. Some are critical, but they see potential in this revival of the Matrix universe.
