Demi Lovato Reveals New Buzzcut For Christmas

Demi Lovato is losing a layer ahead of the 2022 season. The 29-year-old Grammy nominee shaved their head into a stylish buzzcut. Demi Lovato recently told PEOPLE that after coming out as non-binary earlier this year, they never completely connected with the beautiful, feminine pop singer and actress image.

Lovato showed off the fresh buzzcut to their 122 million Instagram followers on Christmas Day. The hashtag “#freshstart” was used in Lovato’s caption.

“I really believe that when I overdosed in 2018, it was because I was ignoring my truth. I went to such great lengths to suppress who I really am to fit this sexy, feminine pop star and actress image that others had assigned for me that I never truly identified with. I did it though because I thought that’s how it was supposed to be.”

In the FaceTime video, they made a few positions against a snowy, mountainous backdrop. They showcased the new short chop, which they later replicated in a mirror selfie on their Instagram Story.

Earlier this year, Lovato announced their wish to shave their head, telling Glamour that their recent hair choices have been an attempt to break out from the heteronormative box to which they’ve been trapped. Autonomy, according to them, is what altered their life.
