Lebron James went beast mode in the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Brooklyn Nets game on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, even his monster performance couldn’t help the team escape defeat. There is an obvious problem with the Lakers’ overall game.
James, 36, scored 39 points during the game in addition to providing eight rebounds and seven assists. His smash performance allowed Lakers to make a fourth-quarter comeback, but they eventually fell short of a win against the Nets.
Despite the loss, the All-Star said he’ll continue to give his best and carry the load for the team. “It is what it is,” he said. He continued, “Go back and watch the film and see if there’s ways or opportunities that I could’ve been a step sooner or a step faster to a loose ball or to a rebound or I had a couple turnovers tonight.”
“If there was an opportunity where I didn’t have three turnovers, maybe one could we be a lot better offensively. “I try to do my part when I’m on the floor. Carry the load. Do a little bit on both sides and just try to lead by example and also lead with my voice.”
He admitted things have been difficult for the Lakers, but said that won’t stop him from giving his best. “It’s obviously been difficult throughout this stretch, but that won’t stop me, I’m going to continue to do what I’m doing,” James said.
