Man Who Told President Joe Biden ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Says He Was Joking

President Joe Biden recently spoke to Americans on Christmas Eve. He was joined by First Lady Jill Biden. They simply wanted to spread some holiday cheer.

One of those conversations almost turned sour. Jared Schmeck, a former police officer from Oregon, was one of the lucky few who got some personal time with the Bidens. He used the opportunity to make a remark that he thought was clever. The President was apparently not bothered.

The conversation was mostly normal. They talked about Christmas, gifts, and other non-political topics. Schmeck then dropped a “Let’s go Brandon” before the call ended. The phrase has been adopted by some Trump supporters as a code for “F*ck Joe Biden.”

Schmeck doesn’t regret what he said. He also explained on his YouTube that he meant no harm. Telling the President of the United States to get f*cked seems like a strange way to approach a harmless chat.

Biden didn’t react at all. He simply repeated the phrase and moved on. He then wished Jared a merry Christmas.

On his YouTube page, Schmeck said he wasn’t so simple minded as to use the phrase in a vulgar manner. He doesn’t explain how using a tired catch phrase meant as an vulgar insult fits the bill. He said he was simply expressing his frustrations.

Citizens like Jared Schmeck continue to scream into an echo chamber while the rest of the world ignores them. President Biden is clearly among those who have no time for the silly joke. Those with hate in their hearts will continue to try and justify their juvenile behavior. Joe Biden has a country to run and a pandemic to manage.
