Baker Mayfield Receives Tons Of Death Threats After Browns Loss To Packers

Baker Mayfield is used to the scorn of angry fans, but this time things got very serious. His wife is not going to stand for it anymore and she sent out a plea for some reasonable behavior.

Baker Mayfield’s wife says the hateful comments coming at her and her husband are too much. Fans are very upset after the Browns lost to the Packers and they think threatening someone’s safety is a suitable reaction.

Emily Mayfield posted on Instagram to beg for some respect among the savage Browns fans.

It’s crazy how much negativity is amplified via social media. I’m still a believer that there’s more good people out there than bad, but WOW does social media make me think otherwise sometimes. Which plays into why I love to spread positivity. Our world needs more of it. The death threats, lies being told about my husband, and blatant DISRESPECT never ceases to amaze me. For the record – I pray for those of you who even think those thoughts, let alone type them out. I hope you can find some happiness so you stop trying to steal it from others.

We can only hope that nobody would ever actually take violent action and carry out a threat like that. Still, it is awful that it needs to be addressed to begin with.

Sadly, some people will never learn how to contain their frustrations and channel that energy in a different direction. Threatening to kill someone is not the appropriate way to go about things.
