Joel Embiid Rips Karl-Anthony Towns After Comments About Russell Westbrook

Karl-Anthony Towns recenty caught a lot of backlash for comments he made about the playing style of Russell Westbrook. He said that Russ is a stat-chaser. He also painted himself as a consummate professional team player who would never go chasing numbers.

Draymond Green shaded KAT’s take. So did a ton of NBA fans. Even LeBron James has defended Westbrook’s game recently. The defense came despite the fact that many perceive Westbrook to be the reason for the Laker’s lack of chemistry this season.

The worst evisceration of Towns came from Joel Embiid. Embiid has overcome an injury to have a very nice year and his Philadelphia squad are on track to make the NBA playoffs. The two have a history on and off the court. They’ve been involved in their share of heated and personal scuffles. Embiid dragged KAT and stood up for Westbrook via his Instagram.

Embiid is a four-time all star big man with legitimate NBA bona fides. He’s experienced a lot of success with the Philadelphia 76ers. Joel has now had enough of the trash talking from what he sees as an inferior player.
