The Rock has millions of fans hanging on his every word and each social media post needs to be on point because of that. It turns out that the Great One has his own rules when it comes to posting on social media.

While speaking to CNN’s Chloe Melas, The Rock brought up his own approach to social media. He has a lot of responsibility to maintain a positive front and also keep things light. He also needs to navigate the tricky pandemic waters at all times.

“That answer is yes. I still have my anchoring guidelines I follow: Be authentic, be real and try to make sure every social post has a quality and meaning behind it, offering some takeaway for people and being aware about never wasting anyone’s time with a bullsh*t post about nothing. But I’ll tell you, as we navigate our way through Covid’s harsh ebbs and flows, I’ve found myself trying to use a much lighter touch with my words since things on social media are so easily triggering these days, clickbait stuff.”

The Rock’s social media influence is something that everyone must envy. He can change the lives of millions with the click of a button. It’s good to know that he takes a bit of responsibility with the weight he carries.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
