Kyrie Irving is certainly one of the best basketball players in the NBA. The Brooklyn Nets star might also retire as well due to his refusal to adhere to the COVID-19 vaccine mandates. Due to his refusal to get vaccinated, Kyrie Irving could miss up to 45 games this season.
Kyrie Irving also recently took it upon himself to shut down all retirement rumors. Even Chance the rapper seemingly agreed with Kyrie Irving’s anti-vaxx stance for some reason. He even got support from Floyd Mayweather of all people
However, Kyrie Irving was set to make his return to the NBA soon. Unfortunately, Irving immediately entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols, which simply did no favors to the Brooklyn Nets. Thankfully, Irving did return recently for a practice game. Irving also made it clear that he missed the rhythm of the game after his return.
Kyrie Irving will only be playing for the away games. Due to being away for so long, many fans wonder if he has any rust or not. While speaking to the media after the Nets faced the 76ers, Kyrie Irving called out a reporter who doubted Kyrie Irving’s skills.
“Have you watched him play? He’s a master. He can score 60 to 70% of his shots if you don’t guard him. He’s a high IQ player. It’s just a matter of him getting his legs up under him, his wind up under him. And for us you know, we’re going to run plays for him, we’re going to try to look for him. We play team basketball. He can adapt and do anything out there so we don’t worry about him.”
With Kyrie Irving back in the saddle, there is no doubt that The Brooklyn Nets will have a much better time this season as they were already performing well thanks to Kevin Durant.
