The rapper spearheaded New York’s drill scene phenomenon. His collaborative hits with New Yorker Sleepy Hallow like “Molly” and “Breaking Bad(Okay)” as well as his other his three successful projects made a lot of noise. He was on his way up in his career.
Sheff G’s progress faced a major blow when he pleaded guilty to criminal possession of weapon last November. He was sentenced to two years in prison. He had been facing courtroom drama all year, but he still hopes the he would be freed soon.
In a Instagram post he wrote, “Freedom Is A Must. .. Sending My Love To All My Fans & Supporters I’ll be Bacc Soon. FREE ME.”
He remains behind bars as he plans his ways to freedom. The artist did not release a project in 2021. His most recent official release came in September with his single “Drum Dummy.”
As fans await Sheff G’s return to hip-hop world, he seemed to be in a good mood as he wished his fans a Happy New Year on Instagram yesterday. The rapper posted a shirtless picture from prison. He captioned his picture, “Happy Blue Years. I AINT YA REGULAR G MEMBER EVERYBODY KNOW IM SANCTION. #FREEME #AYOOOCIIID #TENTOES”
