Antonio Brown had a sideline meltdown during Sunday’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers game against the New York Jets. AB removed his shirt and posed for the crowd before walking away from his team in the middle of the game. He was quickly cut from the roster.
Head coach Bruce Arians didn’t hesitate to let Brown go. He knows the wideout has a history of strange behavior. Arians had no choice but to make the decision to fire him.
That doesn’t mean the Bucs head man doesn’t feel for Antonio. Arians said he doesn’t regret signing Brown to the team. Bruce only wishes the best for him in his future endeavors, according to ESPN. He discussed what it was like to witness the strange events during Sunday’s matchup.
“I have no regrets. I just hope the best for him…
It was very hard. I wish him well. If he needs help, I hope he gets some. It’s very hard. Because I do care about him.”
Coach Arians said he had a conversation with Brown before the receiver left the field. No further details were given. There were no precipitating factors before the outburst.
Antonio Brown will now find it more difficult than ever to land with another NFL team. AB appears content to focus on his rap career. Bruce Arians just hopes that his former player is going to be alright.
