Emily In Paris is lighting up Netflix, and fans of the popular series recently flipped if they are also close followers of Real Housewives of New Jersey. The Netflix show paid a great nod to a famous flip-out that any RHONJ fan is bound to remember.
The reference to a legendary “Real Housewives of New Jersey” event was included in Netflix’s “Emily in Paris” season finale. Fans of the popular Bravo series were very pleased. Fans of RHONJ noticed a reference to the show in episode 10 of season 2 of “Emily in Paris.” A potential marketing client of Emily’s firm throws a tantrum on the news as a man flips out and screams:
“Don’t tell me to pay attention, I’ve put together thousands of these shows. How many fashion shows have you produced? This is not good enough. 19 times? 19 times!”
This is clearly a parody of Teresa Giudice’s table-flip from RHONJ season 1’s season finale. Teresa was enraged in that scene because Danielle Staub instructed her to “pay attention.” Then Teresa flipped the table and television history was made.
“I am paying attention,” Teresa yelled. “Obviously there has to be something else. It’s not just name change and arrested. There has to be something else. Prostitution whore, you were f***ing engaged 19 times.”
Many fans flipped over Emily in Paris and filled Instagram and Twitter with posts and comments.
Emily in Paris recreating a scene from RHONJ is iconic, it’s truly iconic.”
“The #RHONJ reference in Emily in Paris is fantastic i love it.”
“I had no idea it would go there but when it did… huge smile on my face while saying…well damn that’s amazing.”
“There’s a scene on Emily in Paris clearly inspired by the famous table flip of @Teresa_Giudice.”
Another fan noticed that Emily was wearing the same dress as Whitney Rose did.
Fans were really excited to watch season 3 of Emily in Paris, and that little not to the Real Housewives made their day on top of it.
