Peter Dante is not a familiar name for movie fans. His work is extremely well known, however. Dante has had bit roles in several popular Adam Sandler movies. Most people wouldn’t expect him to be a very controversial figure. It turns out that Peter is known to be a bit of a hothead.
Dante most famously took on the role of quarterback Gee Grenouille in “The Waterboy.” Peter also appeared in Little Nicky, Grandma’s Boy, That’s My Boy, and several other Sandler-associated flicks. The role of anti-mask restaurant patron is the latest on his resume. Sandler was also recently denied service at a restaurant, but not because he was violating public health protocols.
Peter Dante was visiting Quaters Korean BBQ in Los Angeles on Monday night when the incident occurred. The actor was told that he needed to wear a mask if he wanted to be served. According to TMZ, Dante wasn’t thrilled with the request.
Peter called the hostess who told him about the mask mandate that she was garbage. Then he called her a “c*nt.” In classic Karen fashion, Dante then asked if he could speak to the manager.
As the manager was being summoned, Dante lost it on another employee. Then he once again refused to wear a mask. The entire fiasco was all for naught. He eventually left without being served.
Witnesses say the entire situation left the hostess extremely upset. She was on the verge of tears. Peter Dante is known for playing a lot of whacky characters. There was nothing funny about the way he treated this restaurant’s staff.
