Kailyn Lowry & Briana DeJesus’ Slander Lawsuit Postponed As Drama Escalates

Teen Mom stars are typically able to find just about any reason to fight, because it makes for great television drama. Many of the cast members went on to achieve some kind of fame and success. Others are confronted with horrific family drama, which drastically alters their life. They are virtually always in the spotlight and this is no different.

“Teen Mom 2” star Kailyn Lowry is always at the center of fans’ criticism for one thing or the other. According to The Sun, Kailyn Lowry and Briana DeJesus’ court appearance has been postponed, but the turmoil continues.

The outlet reported that DeJesus’ lawyer, Marc Randazza, requested the court date to be rescheduled from January 14, 2022, due to a scheduling conflict. That request was granted by a judge, but no new date has been established.

According to the outlet, Lowry sued DeJesus for slander in June 2021, alleging that DeJesus “physically attacked Christopher Lopez, the father of two of Lowry’s sons, and broke into and entered the home of Mr. Lopez’s mother.” DeJesus’ plea to postpone the hearing was first denied by Lowry’s lawyer.

“We are a fairly laid back office and usually, we grant these… This, however, is an unusual case, and your client can ask the court for an adjournment. Ms. Lowry does not consent.”

Tensions reached an all-time high in December 2021, when DeJesus announced on social media that she would be giving Lowry a present. Then a treadmill arrived at Lowry’s door in a shade, and pricey, gift purchase. In an email to DeJesus’ lawyer, Lowry’s lawyer specifically mentioned the treadmill.

She wrote: “The surprise was a treadmill. When read with the message, a reasonable reader would view it as your client calling my client overweight. If your client wants favors from my client, she should stop antagonizing her and perhaps issue an apology for the very statements she made which is the focus of this lawsuit.”
