LeBron James has lately been on a roll as part of the Los Angeles Lakers. This was seen as a relief for fans who were worried he was never going to get back into form after a subpar 2021. It seems James wants a commentator to get sacked.
Wizards analyst Glenn Consor recently made headlines for all the wrong reasons after he made a very insensitive comment about Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. during Wednesday’s game.
The inexcusable comment took place after Kevin Porter Jr. hit a game-winning three-pointer to beat the Wizards with a score of 114-111. Consor then made a reference to Porter’s father in the worst way possible.
“Kevin Porter Jr. — like his dad — pulled that trigger right at the right time.”
For those who aren’t aware, Porter’s father Kevin Porter Sr., was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a 14-year-old girl in 1993. Porter Sr. claimed at the time he accidentally pulled the trigger and a witness backed up his claim, but he still spent 4 years in prison. He would lose his life in 2004 after he was shot 5 times in an incident at a bar.
Naturally, fans put Consor on blast and even LeBron James joined in the fray. James stated that there is no place in the game for someone like Consor, calling for him to get fired.
Oh he thought this was cool huh!!?? Nah we ain’t going for this! Sorry but this ain’t going to fly! How insensitive can you be to say something like this. Beat it man! I pray for you but there’s no place in our beautiful game for you!
Neither Kevin Porter Jr. nor Glenn Consor has commented on the incident. It is likely some form of action will be taken against Glenn Consor. We will keep you updated on this ongoing story once they do.
