Snoop Dogg is a veteran in the Hip-Hop world and is considered as a collective “Uncle” by many in the Hip-Hop community. This simply goes to show how universally loved and respected he truly is. Now it seems Snoop Dogg made a bold claim.
Snoop Dogg being a veteran, is certainly not afraid to show his appreciation and give the rub to newer rappers of the Hip-Hop world. He has done so on various occasions throughout his career.
On the other hand, there is no doubt that Dr. Dre is one of the most accomplished rappers in the history of the Hip Hip world. His influence in the entire genre is simply unparalleled, dating back to his days of the N.W.A.
Snoop Dogg has expressed interest in this year’s Super Bowl and it is certainly an ambitious one, to say the least. It boasts an all-star lineup comprising of the likes of Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg and many others.
While speaking to the Manning brothers, Snoop Dogg talked about the Halftime show and hyped it up, as he promised that it will be the greatest performance in the history of Hip-Hop.
It’s gonna be a great performance. You got Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Snoop Dogg. It’s gonna be a great presentation. We’re so thankful that NFL is accepting hip-hop on stage and letting us do what we do. We plan to put on together a great show to give the people something they’ve been waiting on. They love to watch a great Super Bowl game, but at the same time, at half-time, we’d be loving to see who’s gonna perform. So we’re gonna give you the greatest performance you’ve ever seen in hip-hop history.
Dr. Dre also has a personal stake in the performance because he stands to lose millions of dollars if the event gets cancelled due to COVID-19. We will have to wait and see whether the Halftime Show will happen or not next month.
