Jake Paul’s current character sees him as a heel who loves getting under the skin of his opponents before every boxing match. Jake Paul isn’t afraid to call out top UFC stars for fights as he has called out the likes of Nate Diaz on numerous occasions for a fight. At one time he even called Nate Diaz every day to book a fight against him.
The Problem Child continues to make outrageous statements and ridiculous boasts for attention. For the most part, it certainly is working as fans simply want to see Jake Paul get his face punched.
This includes the times he has compared himself to Muhammad Ali and even stated that Ali was never tested like he was. Paul even revealed that he was suffering from memory loss after over 20 concussions. Paul also claimed on numerous occasions that he is carrying the world of professional boxing.
While speaking with DAZN Boxing, Tony Bellew blasted Jake Paul for daring to claim he has been carrying the world of professional boxing, dismissing his claim due to Jake Paul never having fought an actual boxer before.
“First of all, I have got no hate or miles towards Jake Paul. You crack on, do what you do mate. It’s great but in no way shape or form can you claim to carry my sport. You absolute f*** muppet. He hasn’t even fought a boxer yet. So how can you claim to be carrying the sport when you haven’t fought someone who comes from my sport? It’s unbelievable.”
We will have to wait and see who Jake Paul’s next opponent will be once he does decide to return to boxing. He has recently called out Canelo Alvarez, so we wonder if Alvarez will be next or not.
