Lil Mosey established himself as one of the up and coming rappers in the Hip-Hop world. Unfortunately, things just have not been going well for him due to his current sexual assault case. It seems he suffered a huge loss in the case as well.
Back in April last year, the rapper was hit with second-degree rape charges. A woman reported to authorities, that along with Mosey, his co-defendant 19-year old Francisco Prater, had sex with her while she was incapable of giving consent after blacking out from drinking.
Mosey previously claimed he and the accuser had consensual sex in the past and requested the court to allow that information to be shared during his trial.
According to TMZ, the judge in the sexual assault case rejected his request to use prior consent as evidence. The rapper claimed that he met the alleged victim at one of his concerts, and they engaged in consensual sexual activity several times.
On the night of the sexual assault, he claimed that the woman invited him to a party and that they had consensual sex in a car. Prosecutors argued the previous acts were irrelevant because Mosey was charged with sexual assault based solely on the alleged victim not being able to give consent due to her intoxication.
The judge sided with the prosecutors, with one caveat. The judge has allowd Mosey’s legal team to mention what took place in the car on the night of the alleged sexual assault. However, it will be limited to explaining why his DNA was allegedly found on her body.
